A new book on media representations
of 9/11 around the world to come out in the US. The volume entitled How the World’s
News Media Responded to 9/11. Essays from Scholars Around the Globe was
published by Marquette Books, Spokane, Washington in January 2007. |

The September 11 volume is accompanied
by a Collegium Civitas Press/ Wydawnictwo Adam Marszałek publication, looking at
other military conflicts in the media, including the most recent “war on terror.”
Authors include numerous international experts on mediated terrorism such as: Brigitte
Nacos and Bartosz Bolechów. |

Dr. Tomasz Płudowski has been awarded a Fulbright Senior Research Fellowship. In the Winter and Spring trimesters of the 2006/7 academic year he is a Visiting Scholar in the Departments of Communication and Politics at Stanford University. |
